Lovely peaceful spot, with excellent facilities.

Perfectly situated between York for all its varied attractions & history…. and Malton for a typical market town with independent shops & restaurants

Had a brilliant time here with my grandkids. The site is on a working farm and the smells and sounds just made the stay perfect. Nala the farm dog likes fusses, and there is a neighbourhood cat that will visit and try and take over your tent if you have any fish/seafood on offer. Becky and family are so friendly, welcoming and easy to chat with. Now dont go thinking this is one of them 5* campsites, it's not but it feels like it, a great playroom with pingpong, snooker and air hockey is available, there are 2 shower/toilet rooms and they are fully stocked with loo roll, hand soap and paper towels. In the laundry room you will find a small fridge freezer, kettle, washing machine and dryer, microwave, and the sink for doing your dishes (hot and cold water). And Becky and the family keep it so clean too :) my grandkids loved going and feeding the hens and collecting eggs... totally gotta go back again, loved it.

York is a must as is the steam train to whitby. Save a fortune and buy the York Pass. There is so much to do but you will need to drive or grab a bus on the A64. If driving I recommend the park and rides to york, free parking and only £3.80 for adult ticket return (kids go free). If going on the steam train for day out at whitby, then there is parking at pickering station for £5 all day. So worth it :) York will need at least 2 days and realistically Whitby could too as both places have sooo much to see...

Park and ride to York

Sept 2024

The owners of this caravan and camping site are lovely and make you feel very welcome. The site is immaculately clean to say it's a working farm . Lovely clean toilets and a kitchen area to use . There is a games room to entertain yourselves in. The kids are made very welcome helping out on the farm e.g egg collecting and feeding the hens, sitting on a tractor BIG and small , and the camp fire was great too.We took our 2 dogs with us and there is a big field on site to walk them on and let them have a run around. There are other walks around the area too but we didn't have time as we only stayed 2 nights. We Definitely recommend staying here. We will definitely book again for a longer stay.

Loads of places to visit or walk. York is only 20 min in the car but would definitely recommend the park and ride service into York it's the cheapest way. There are different coasts to go and visit. We visited the American diner for breakfast it was yummy and dog friendly but can get busy so alot of people book a table. The curry place that the campsite recommends is delicious.

This was our first camping trip with our 2 and 5 year old boys and thanks to Becky, it was a huge success! The farm and all the opportunities for the kids were magical - feeding chickens, collecting eggs, sitting on tractors, the campfire and making friends and petting the beautiful dog,Nala. Everything we needed was available - having access to a play room, fridge, kettle, microwave, washing machine and the clean bathrooms with decent showers made the trip easy. Becky even lent the boys a trike and scooter! Thank you we really enjoyed making memories at your wonderful farm and we will be back!

This was the first time camping with myself and my two children. We’ve recently been through a challenging time and the kids needed to feel safe, happy, and secure. Becky was an absolute sweetheart despite my incompetence and was incredibly accommodating and helpful. It was a completely delightful experience and we will definitely come back! Thank you so much for making our first camping trip so memorable. The site is stunning, and facilities immaculate.

We went to Dalby Forest but the area of the site is so beautiful we could have just stayed playing games, walking the dogs and having fun! We had two barbecues and it was quiet, relaxing, with beautiful scenery. My youngest is still cradling the freshly laid egg which she was allowed to keep when visiting the chickens! Both girls made solidly lovely memories that they’ll keep for a long time.
